Installation

How to install the '4K Icon Fonts' plugin?

Its pretty much easy. Here is a step-by-step guide:

When downloading All Files and Documentation:

  1. After you download the copy from CodeCanyon, proceed on extracting the zip file.
  2. The extracted file consists of the License, Documentations, Plugin folders and Read Me files. Go to the Plugin folder and upload all the .zip files in it to your plugins. (This includes the main plugin file and 5 Icon packs in different zip files.)
  3.  Once uploading is finished, Activate and enjoy your new plugin! 🙂

NOTE: Uploading the whole ‘All Files and Documentation’ zip file will fail your installation. Please be reminded to use the Installable WordPress File that is inside the ‘Plugin’ folder upon installation.

NOTE: Please disable or delete any existing older or trial copy of 4K Icon Fonts plugin before you proceed in installation.

When downloading Installable WordPress file only:

  1. After you download the copy from CodeCanyon, go to the Plugin folder and upload all the .zip files in it to your plugins.
  2.  Once uploading is finished, Activate and enjoy your new plugin! 🙂

You can also upload our plugin via FTP. Here is also a step-by-step guide for it:

  1. Depending on which you downloaded: All Files and Documentation or Installable WordPress file only. Proceed on getting all the zip files needed to be uploaded and extract it.
  2. Login at your FTP and put the extracted folder at /wp-content/plugins
  3. Activate and enjoy your new plugin! :)

I was trying to install the plugin but an error "The package could not be installed. No valid plugins were found. Plugin install failed." appears.

This is probably because you tried to upload the whole All Files and Documentation version of the plugin.

Do I need Visual Composer to use this plugin?

Not necessarily. Without Visual Composer, you can still use our 4K Icon Fonts shortcodes to create/edit icons. Having Visual Composer have its own perks as it pretty much adds a UI to make using the plugin easier.

I don't have a Visual Composer. How can I use this plugin?

You can do it by adding your icons using shortcodes. We have a list of them in our demo site here: http://demos.gambit.ph/4k-icons/

General Usage

Can I use 4K Icon Fonts with other plugins?

This depends if the other plugin have a text area and if it can support the 4K Icon’s Shortcodes.

If it does, all you have to do is paste the 4K Icon Font’s shortcode in the text area.

Can I use my own icons in 4K Icons plugin?

Nope. And even if you wish to integrate your own icons, it will be a complicated thing to do.

Despite that, our plugin have over 9000 Icons. So there should be enough good options to choose from. 🙂

Can I integrate the icon fonts to some other plugin for use?

Sadly, nope. The only way of using our icons to other plugins is if the other plugin have a text area that supports the shortcodes.

Troubleshooting

When I install the plugin I get the following message: You are missing 5 required font pack(s) for the 4k Icons plugin, they are not activated or installed. The font packs are included in the package downloaded from CodeCanyon.

Please double check if you have installed the 4K Icon Fonts properly. This includes the main plugin and 5 icon packs. A total of 6 zip files.

I can access 4K Icon Fonts menu but I cannot see the icon previews!

Please disable or uninstall your free version/older version of 4K Icon Fonts plugin. Just keep your latest plugin on.

Keeping both older/free versions and the latest version will cause conflicts like that.
